Pineapple Tarts Recipe!

Well guys, here's my 1st recipe.. I learned how to make this from a book, but i basically modified and changed all the ingredients. Do enjoy, have fun making it, and indulge the awesome pineapple tarts!


Pineapple Tart Recipe ( Makes 35 Pieces )

Ingredients
(A)
120g Butter
20g Shortening
20g Milk powder
10g Custard Powder
30g Icing Sugar
140g Plain flour
40g cornflour
Half a teaspoon of vanilla essence

(B)
2 Egg Yolks (beaten)

Filling
500 grams pineapple filling rolled ovals at 7grams each.
( Can Be bought at most baking shops )

Glazing
1 egg yolk (beaten)

Utensils Needed
A nastar mould for pineapple tarts.
( Can be bought at most baking shops )

Instructions:
1. Combine Ingredients A and mix it until it forms a soft dough, then add in Ingredient B, mix thoroughly until dough doesn't stick to hands/mixer anymore.
2. Place the finished dough in a nastar mould. Press out steadily a long, thin strip of dough facing downwards. Repeat process and wrap each piece of pastry with one portion of filling.
3. Roll up, trim edges. Leave rolls on a lined baking tray. Glaze Surfaces
4. Bake The pre-cooked pineapple tarts in a preheated oven at 170c for 20-25 minutes. Cool well and store in airtight jars.
